Can't let sleeping dogs lie, eh?

Sept. was a year since we've had an event in Lakeland.
The club member who had our Lakeland contacts disappeared. He was a a City of Lakeland employee, and for some reason never wanted to divulge his Marchant stadium/City of Lakeland contact. I don't know if he pulled strings or called in favors or what. I hounded him for quite some time, and ultimately I was ignored. He hasn't been to an event or forum-posted for months.

I gave the meager information I did have to Brian Kollar, who was going to do some digging. That was earler this summer, and I haven't heard back from him about it. Not sure if he's had time to pursue it, or if it's been fruitless.

Any of the 2010 single-day events could be rescheduled. If anyone wants to try to dig up a Lakeland/Marchant stadium contact, lemme know.

Was just wondering. It's a neat site. And ANY usable site shouldn't be forgotten.

Looking at those dates, none of them fall on robotics weekends! I might be able to make every event!

I'll take chairman for May at SPC. I'd take March, but that's right after the 12hrs of Sebring, I'll be in no shape to coordinate anything that month.

Thanks Eric. May is all yours. March is spoken for, anyway...

What, still no chair for January? Okay, I'll do it. Can we run the dual course again, if I get a co-chair to help with that. Where would I find the event chair guide?

I've always want to talk on one of those bullhorn thingies...

Chairman guide is at the top of this page

Everyone seemed to like the dual course gig, no reason to not do it if you want. I'd do fewer runs on the competition course, though. With the practice course available, just doing 5-6 runs on the comp course is plenty. That way not as many people will try to opt out of running practice and/or their work assignment.

I'd even go for 8 runs, I think several people did 10 or more so dropping to 8 might be ok depending on the turnout.
