Caffeine and Dehydration

An ex-girlfriend of mine used to nag me about my caffeine intake (which really was far from bad) because, “It dehydrates you.” I argued that any coffee or carbonated beverage with caffeine was largely… umm… water. “You’re telling me that the caffeine in my Coke not only completely obliterates the 11oz. of water in the can, but also saps existing water from me like a parasite? Bullshit.”

Turns out I was correct.

Apparently, Google has decided that “Tax Day” is a US holiday on 4/15. To get tomorrow off from work simply add the “US Holidays” calendar from the list of public calendars inside Google Calendar. Show your calendar to your boss and enjoy your day off!

What makes Cheetos so good? They’re weird, crunchy, and cheesy. Baked Cheetos are weird, crunchy, and cheesy in the same exact way but are about half as harmful.

Weedon Island Kayaking

Since Jessica and I were in need of some play time, we rented 2 single-seater kayaks from Sweetwater Kayaks at Weedon Island Preserve today.

Pros: Laminated map. Solid equipment. Good scenery (we saw stingrays, porpoises, a turtle, and a few of the usual Florida birds). Well-marked route.

Cons: $40/half day per single-seater kayak is a bit pricey. Map kinda sucked. Kayak was uncomfortable compared to others I’ve been in.
