Ages ago I used the twm window manager under UNIX/X11 and loved its DontMoveOff setting which disallowed windows from being moved (even partially) off of the visible desktop. It allowed me to quickly drag windows to corners or edges of my desktop and align them cleanly.
I have been wanting a utility to allow this under Windows 98, 98SE, and XP for years now.
allSnap, an application written by Ivan Heckman, takes things a few steps further by allowing windows to snap to each other, the edges of the desktop, or both (there are a good number of configurable settings).
