Aside from the speeding ticket and sub-optimal weather, the weekend’s trip was excellent. There were plenty of amazing twisty roads to drive hard and a few hikes we took up on Sunday.
Here’s a rough trace of paths we hit once we got up there.
Amicola Falls (GA) (picture at Flickr — more info on the falls). While we were here, the boardwalks and stairs around the falls were SO treacherous with ice. At one point I decided I was going to slide across a section of boardwalk by trotting up to it and planting my feet. I made it the 2nd try. The first try, where I fall and eat shit, is timelessly captured in video that I will be sure to share for all to enjoy once I get it from my friend.

Stovall House B&B where we stayed. They had a big skylight in each room right above the bed which made for amazing night skies away from light pollution. Rad.
