Remember this little cutie? Well, I got her (it’s a she) into the carrier today and took her to the vet. She has no feline HIV and no scabies, but does have something that is causing her skin problem.
For now, she is a new addition to the family, and is in my house with daily meds to take. The next vet visit is March 1. She is currently hiding behind a bookcase in a room separated by a door from my other cat.

awwww. We were asopted by Boots Riley a little over a year ago. What’s her name?
I think I’ve settled on “Founder” :)
She didn’t make a peep all night, which is good as I thought she might be nutso after being an outdoor cat.
It’s clear now she definitely had a previous owner and probably lived indoors. She is super snuggly and doesn’t hesitate to get right in my lap. I think she is grateful and already feeling a bit more comfortable from the meds kicking in.
Founder. I totally love it!
I’m glad she’s taking it in stride and even cuddly. When Boots adopted us, we were doing some woodworking in the garage and all the doors were open — because we are morons and like sawdust blowing into the house! Boots strolled in and jumped on the counter liked he owned the place. We started seriously on building the business at the time and worked long hours. He’d just get it into his head he’d need to jump on us and snuggle. For awhile, there I had my own cat stole: he’d drape himself around the back of my neck and purr.
Hah. Nice re: cat stole :) Got any pics of Boots?
Sweet! Glad the cat is warming up to you. I had a similar thing happen to me in our complex with a cat. Saw it a few times leaving for work in my driveway, then another day near my front steps. I said what the heck and brought some food out, cat ate it like there was no tomorrow. That same day I get home and it is waiting for me. I walk around to the back of the building, it follows me, and I convince one of my neighbors to keep it. Cat has a happy home now, and is a few doors down. With two cats already I just couldnt take another one in.
Glad to hear things are going well down in FL!
