I thought the following two quotes from textdrive.com CEO Dean Allen were pretty amusing. Then I laughed even harder when the server I was referencing for the press release crashed (confirmed it was not simply network connectivity between myself and it).
What’s changing at TextDrive? Nothing, really: we’ll continue strong with shared hosting, and now also ramp up our dedicated and business hosting lines.
Enter TextDrive, where, despite the small miracle that is StrongSpace, we could use a bit of help on the application front (hearing TextPanel referred to as vapourware hurts, man). We do however have the server thing down cold, and thus the two companies, combined, now have their respective ambitions rendered limitless.

How much sugar do you have to eat to keep the bitter taste out of your mouth?
Still waiting for an apology.
I assure you I’m not the one losing sleep over it while waiting.
In the last 2 days, 600 people have been exposed to the situation and roughly 40 people have emailed me comments of support.
Bitter? It’s wearing off rapidly, although it’s so effortless to drag it out, I may just continue to.
Oh.
I see who you are now. Part of the problem.
Nick Stenning, July 30th 2005:
“To all the TextDrive customers: I urge you to stick around just that little while longer, and very soon everything will get “a whole lot better”(TM)”
Yeah, things got great, Nick. You guys went from alright to garbage.
Isn’t that the error you see when your web browser just can’t connect to a server?
I’ve never seen a webserver produce an error like that.
Your internet connection was probably just down.
John, just in case you’re not “one of them” — my net connection was not down. In fact, I was able to login to a different host at textdrive.com during the outage.
I’m part of the problem?
In that I’m a customer?
In that I believe that just because opinions differ we shouldn’t go around chopping off heads?
In that I recognise that half the battle for TextDrive is staying transparent amidst the rain of bitterness from people such as yourself?
I’d love to know how that works.
Give up, Nick. The net is awash with complaints like mine. Wake up.
Now I’m a dick (my words) for being bitter… because I was called a dick by Jason and had my account deleted.
It just gets better and better.
