TechCrunch reports that an all new Yahoo Maps beta launched last night. The new interface is pretty slick. It offers a miniature map in the upper left corner for positioning your current view as well as zooming interactively. Mice with scroll wheels will be able to zoom in and out with it as well.
Type something into the “Find on the map” text box to the left (such as “pizza”) and the map automatically updates with flags and information about the locations matching that search string.
Need directions? That’s there as well of course. In addition to the typical “point A to point B” directions, one can specify many locations: point A to B to C to D…
